Poetry - National Poetry Month

VHD

Count-down, two day reprieve,
one front porch project,
catch the sun.

Morning pages
before the reality
of the day
sets in...

Nine to five jive
I'm barely alive
weekly employment
petty cash deployment
difficult to survive.

Count-down, two day reprieve,
one front porch project,
catch the sun.

Morning pages
before the reality
of my life
sets in...

Lingo - grammar raper
captured on paper,
pressure relief of brain;
within performer, sane,
poetry mover and shaper.

Count-down, two day reprieve,
one front porch project,
catch the sun.

Morning pages
before the reality
of Poet
sets in...

When I die
Poetry won't cry
no tear shed in grief,
just a sigh of relief,
"phew, no more of THAT guy."

Count-down, two day reprieve,
one front porch project,
catch the sun.

Morning pages
before the reality
of the day
sets in.
